We love a woman in a suit, and nobody rocks a suit like Esther Quek. The journalist and fashion and beauty editor is usually in sharply tailored suits. Her Instagram account is an excellent source of fashion inspiration for her 37.6k followers and you too. As you know, a pantsuit is the outfit you need in 2019, and autumn has the perfect temperature for the tailored two-piece outfit.
After living almost three years in Dubai and working as Editor-Chief of the luxury lifestyle magazine Citizen K Arabia, the stylist and journalist is back home, in Singapore, where she’s Editor-in-Chief of Buro. Singapore. She also contributes to Conde Nast Traveller, among several other projects
Her sense of style and ability to look incredibly feminine in masculine tailored suits have made her a darling of street style photographers during Fashion Weeks. Although her sartorial choices have changed over the years, we still see her sometimes donning the great suits that look fab on her, like the lavender one she wore to celebrate International Women's Day.
Quek knows how to look stylish in a turtleneck. The black one she wore during Milan Fashion Week gives nowness to her outfit and dresses her glamorous look a bit down.
The platinum-blond is a style icon for many; proving here that one can wear a suit and turtleneck even in summer.
Quek balances power suits with bold accessories and fun punk-styled hair. Statement earrings have become her signature. Learn how to master this balance with all the accessories you need to go through Fall 2019 like a glitterati.
There are so many times we liked her outfit, for example, this beautiful Dior suit paired with loafers. Her androgynous look reminds us of David Bowie in his chic suits.
But my favourite looks are when the stylish editor wears what should be a very masculine outfit like a suit with a tie, but manages to look super feminine by adding accessories such as brooches and killer heels.
She's not afraid of colours and wore a yellow suit during Paris Fashion Week some years ago. Check the fashion colour trends for fall 2019 to have fun with daring hues this season.
Two and three-piece suits look sexy and fun, and you can wear them to go to the office or for a night out, adding the right accessories. Plus, the stylish outfit will keep you warm this fall, so it's a win-win choice!
