We were invited to Mode Suisse edition 16 that took place in Zurich and also presented in New York, Paris and Genf.
Mode Suisse is a fashion platform promoting collaboration between the designers and schools, the textile industry, retail, and media. So, it covers pretty much the whole fashion industry.
As explains Yannick Aellen, the creator of the event, Mode Suisse presents interconnects and discusses Swiss fashion at shows, in showrooms and panel discussions. The occasion aims to be a bridge between the fashion industry and costumers.
Besides that, Mode Suisse works as an adviser to Swiss designers, preparing them for appearances at international fashion weeks and events. The best example of this kind of consultancy is the partnership with The Austrian Fashion Association and Berlin Showroom. The three fashion market organise every year in Paris, the DACH showroom, a business event conceived to show Swiss, Austrian and German fashion designers on an international stage.
But it’s better to hear the news directly from Yannick, so click and watch the video!
Anyway, we loved to be part of this beautiful and creative event, and we are surprised by the quality of the shows and the fantastic designs.
In the video you get to know the Swiss brands, especially if you are like us, always trying to find something new and unique to wear.
This season, the Zurich catwalk presented the collections from After Work Studio (Basel), Amorphosis (Lugano), Forbidden Denimeries (Geneva), Jacqueline Loekito (Basel), Julia Heuer (Stuttgart), Mourjjan (Zurich, Beirut, Mykonos), Nina Yuun (Basel, Seoul) and the students of HEAD – Genève and the Institute of Fashion Design HGK FHNW in Basel.
