Spring is here and we have already spotted some new cool trends on the streets during Milan, New York, Paris and London fashion week. The streets were full of the most influencing people in the fashion industry. They were showing off their coolest outfits and watching out for colours, cuts, combos or accessories that might become the next big thing is something we really enjoyed doing.
MINISKIRTS – LONG LEGS
A major trend the next couple of months will be miniskirts and this season´s motto seems to be “the shorter, the better”. Heels even enhance this look and make your legs look super long, but the miniskirts also look super cool when worn with sneakers.
The next big trend that grabs our attention are neon colours. Yes, they´ve been here before, but this time they are back even brighter, don´t you think? Suits and overalls found their way into the neon colour bucket and bold patterns give this vibrant trend a little extra something.
PUNK NO TRUMP
You guessed it right, punk hit the streets again – we saw shaved heads, ultrashort bangs, graffiti patterns, a lot of black, edgy make-up, chunky shoes and shiny materials.
Forget about puffy coats, because this year´s outerwear is slim. Long coats with a lean silhouette are the way to go. The trenchcoat-like shapes make them perfect for layering and your outfit as interesting as it can get.
THE BIGGER, THE BETTER
While outerwear is getting slimmer this spring, everything else gets more voluminous. Puffy sleeves, ruffles, folds, tulle and many layers are literally big this season.
Speaking of outerwear: Slightly oversized suffragette blazers are your best companion this spring. Combine them with skirts and get an invincible look that is strong and at the same time feminine.
Animal print is something that comes back over and over again. This year though, we go a bit further with leopard, snake and crocodile print in crazy colours. Pink, yellow, green – everything that nature doesn´t offer, should be hanging in your closet now.
