“Beauty is no question of age.” This sentence has been said and written a trillion of times and we always believed it and still do so. Not so did beauty industry. The existence of tightening creams, wrinkle masks, rejuvenating cures and anti-aging serums proofs, but beauty implies looking young, no? Even though there is no doubt that beauty and personality go hand in hand and that characteristic features of the body are, what makes a person unique and special and just bring out a person’s beauty.
So of course, we had no doubt, but we were not sure if the general perception was the same. Now, things changed and we are finally able to see a huge difference in the public and commercial appearance of beauty and age. The conception of not hushing up or mitigating symptoms or facts of age has won through. What this means in specific? Wrinkles are not covered anymore, grey hair is not dyed and women of ‘a certain age’ are not restricted to a certain fashion, style or behavior. On billboards we see mature or aged women promoting lipstick, instead of teenagers, modeling for a rejuvenating mask at the age of 13.
