After it was announced that the famous Parisian concept store Colette is going to close down, unverified stories about possible take-overs of the place in Rue Saint-Honoré have circulated. Still, there has nothing been confirmed yet, but rumors grew stronger, that Saint Laurent might move in. At least the latest (and last) coup lets assume so.
In a series of pop-up takeovers, Saint Laurent is the last one to exhibit and sell an exclusively designed collection at Colette. From today, Monday 27th of November, it will be available in the store and online. Laurent's head designer Anthony Vaccarello has created a series of collectible pieces that pay homage to the Parisian SAVOIR VIVRE, which correspond to the culture and way of life in the French capital. The centerpiece of the collection is a sleek, black Vespa. Others are a box of exquisite chocolate bonbons, a Patti Smith T-shirt, a Polaroid Vintage camera, a line of heart-themed black leather goods with the iconic YSL logo and many more. Other pieces of desire are definitely the skate decks, which come in a sexy, black and a leopard version. Even the YSL Beauty department will be featured.
Among the pieces, there will definitely be found one or more to add to the Christmas wishlist.
The collaboration collection is available until December 20th, the last day that Colette opens its doors in Paris. What’s going to happen then, is still uncertain.
