Despite being only 27 years old, the American actress Jennifer Lawrence is no newbie when it comes to fashion. Since her first Red Carpet in 2008, the Hunger Games actress’ style has evolved and changed quite a bit.
She has since won several awards for her incredible acting skills and she’s also been voted as Best Dressed several times.
From her first appearances as a young and pretty girl-next-door with chubby cheeks, girlish long blond hair and sometimes a tiny bit too much makeup, to the sleek and polished Hollywood star she’s now become, her style and acting career have evolved dramatically, she is now one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and has been the face of Dior since 2012.
Jennifer Lawrence has become a style icon thanks to her fashion sense and strong personality, she is funny but can also be very firm and assertive when speaking out for women’s equality and rights.
In 2013, when Jennifer was awarded Best Actress at the age of only 22, she tripped and fell because of her gorgeous floor-length Dior gown while walking up the stairs to receive her Oscar. She quickly got up and laughed off her embarrassment, making her even more relatable and lovable!
We’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence wearing from short cocktail dresses to full-length couture gowns and she rarely goes wrong. Her choice of accessories is always perfect and elegant, she usually opts for wearing little jewellery and little makeup for a good balance with the most glam gowns.
She’s also not afraid to dare and has become more confident and sophisticated as her style evolves, appearing in breathtaking ball gowns with sheer lace, bold patterns, metallic fabrics and feather embellished waistline. Apropos, Jennifer Lawrence's dress choice to publicise her new film Red Sparrow in London, a black velvet Versace with lots of flesh exposure, caused controversy on the net, with some twitters and the actress changing nasty comments and offenses. Well, at the pic of the #metoo Hollywood mood her dress was a bit over, not only freezing outside in a harsh weather but doing that while in the middle of 3 heavily covered men...weird.
The latest Dior Cruise 2018 collection and campaign featuring Jennifer was inspired by iconic American artist Georgia O’Keeffe and her amazing paintings of Mexican landscape. Jennifer was shot by Brigitte Lacombe in long earthy shade dresses and vests with dessert flowers motifs, she wore headscarves under British Stephen Jones hats in an artsy-boho-chic style that suits the self-confident stylish and strong woman she’s become.
