Alexa Chung was, is and will always be everything that we dreamt of as little girls. Not only is the 34-year-old British fashion trendsetter, writer, host, model, fashion designer and also often called It Girl, pretty as the girl next door, but also sassy looking like an adventure. It makes us wanna look like her. We also wanna be her.
She always seems so sophisticated and self-assured in an absolutely poised way that she simply is THE role model for so many of us when it comes to striving for a distinctive look in fashion and style, which is often described as a mixture of a Camden Town rock band member and a French Vogue fashion editor.
It all started when she got scouted as a model in the comedy tent at the Reading Festival at the age of 16. Incredible looking already back then, she modelling for teen magazines, such as Elle Girl and Cosmo Girl. Later on, she became the face of big fashion brands. DKNY, Pepe Jeans, Stella McCartney, Longchamp and Lacoste, just to name a few.
So, since she stepped into the fashion paradise, she has always been part of that sparkling scene. No matter whether she's seen at a party with other famous celebrity friends, doing a great job as a television presenter at several popular TV shows or writing for fashion magazines and even a fashion book about herself titled “IT”, she has been a girl to talk about on all occasions. She's won the British style award three times and had a Mulberry bag named after her, which is, we have to admit, pretty much the fashion industry equivalent of an OBE.
But we don´t only admire her great sense of style, we also very much appreciate what she does for us. Introducing her own fashion brand named Alexachung was one of the best things that happened in 2016 for sure. She just opened up the opportunity for all of us to copy her kooky look with almost one single order-klick at her own online shop with items designed by her adorable self.
Now, just seven years after being the ambassador of Superga, the multi-talented style icon has also reinterpreted the classic mid cut and mule shoe silhouette with different textures and colours in a collaboration with the trending Brand. They like to describe it as Parisian chic with a New York edge and a very British sense of humour. Have a look at our gallery and you will see what they are talking about.
