Because We Love Fine Dining
Adriana Fortunato is an Italo-Brazilian textile designer, specialized in handmade table wear. According to Adriana, receiving is an act of altruism. "The idea is to do the best to bring together loved ones. This is how I see and understand the table", says the training architect who, for more than a decade, is dedicated to the design of fabric pieces for fine-dining tables.
I certainly agree with Adriana Fortunato; my best memories are eating with my family. Having a nice table decoration with flowers, a beautiful cutlery, and pristine tablecloths are essential; I dare to say that this is as important as serving a good food.
Adriana Fortunato's placemats, runners, and napkins are made of natural Brazilian linen, silk, and cotton with a handmade finish; some are embroidered, others shredded; very chic for a casual lunch and also formal dinners.
Fortunately, Adriana Fortunato is moving to Milan, Italy. After years as a partaker in the Milan Design Week, the designer decided to stay in the global capital of fashion and design with a shop with Marta Lantery. The opening will be next October, so a good excuse to visit Milan again.
Delicate, precious fabrics are used by Adriana Fortunato for her handmade, unique pieces.
Subtle sewing details as embroidery or broderie anglaise frame tablecloths and napkins and thereby give them a vintage touch.
For a properly laid table, cloth napkins are indispensable.
