Where 50´s and 90´s meet

It is that time of the year again: H&M released the first photos of their A/W18 studio collection which will be available on the 6th of September. The line offers a limited selection of essentials that go well together with the trends and pieces of the season. What started out as a collection that focused on materials like organic cotton and (rather) sustainable working methods has now become a spectacle that fashion lovers are waiting for all year and that is even presented during fashion week.
This season´s collection is inspired by the famous 90´s series Twin Peaks as well as 50´s movie icons. Straight leg, turned up jeans, classic trench coats, woolen sweaters and leather pieces are the key items. By combining the feminine elements with the more masculine ones you can create your very own look, says H&M´s design director Pernilla Wohlfahrt. So you decide whether you want to be Marlon or Marilyn. Or both.
The colour palette with its beige, black and blue hues gives the whole collection an even more nostalgic touch that contrasts with the fun bright pink and red accents of some of the pieces. Just looking at the lookbook immediately gets us in a let´s-go-to-the-diner-and-drink-a-milkshake mood.
You´ll have to wait for another few days to actually shop the pieces, but for now get a glimpse of the collection in our gallery!
