The best fashion inspiration from office outfits to party looks

Besides being a fantastic actress, Cate Blanchett is one of the most elegant movie stars of our times.
The Australian Oscar-awarded and one of the highest-paid actresses in the world may not be on the list of celebrities that show up in tabloids every other day for their super trendy, bold or outstanding street style looks. In private, the actress likes it calm. Thereby her daily outfits don't cause a sensation. Don't get us wrong; her looks are always perfect; we love her effortlessly chic and understated style that is at the same time, very sophisticated. Instead of heels, she likes wearing flats or loafers, and she usually goes for chic coats in dark shades or beige, classic shirts, and jumpers or classic blazers; all held in subdued colours. You could say - and we do - that her daytime looks are an excellent inspiration for achieving sophisticated office outfits. So far, so good.
But when it comes to big appearances on the red carpet, Cate Blanchett really knows how to stand out from the crowd. Her couture dresses by Valentino, Gucci, Givenchy, you name it, are hard to be exceeded, maybe only by the exquisite jewellery she gets to wear, and her hair and makeup are equally fabulous. Blanchett has a knack for getting the old Hollywood star style spot on, and she looks glamorous like no other at the gala events.
