We've asked Salamander about that :)
The sneaker that you'll want to wear next season is already waiting for you at Salamander. The trendy shoe shop started ahead and is bringing to the market the much-awaited Puma Defy sneakers.
Mirroring the ugly-sneaker trend, PUMA Defy has the typical chunky sole that makes the sneakers look extraordinarily comfortable and absolutely fashionable.
The face of the Defy sneakers' campaign is ex-Disney star turned singer, actress and producer, Selena Gomez, Puma’s ambassador and a social media powerhouse, with a 138 million-followers account on Instagram.
“Do You”, the slogan of this campaign, and the sneaker’s name, Defy, are meant to inspire women, and Selena Gomez says “To defy is to be brave. It’s about pushing the envelope and not obeying any expectations placed on you by society. Puma has captured this feeling perfectly with the new Defy training shoe. I remind myself daily about the importance of defying the outside noise and being true to myself.”
And we know that Gomez will have to remind herself of that now, more than ever, with all the noise on the internet and in Hollywood, caused by the nasty comment of Stefano Gabbana of Dolce & Gabanna, calling Selena “really ugly” on Instagram. The controversial Italian designer, known for his rude online comments, has prompted the outrage of fans and friends who labeled the incident as body-shaming and online bullying and some even called for a boycott of the label. Not exactly a good publicity stunt, isn't it?
The great news is that you can rock your new Puma Defy sneakers before anyone else! The new trainers are already available at the shoe stores Salamander. If you want to make sure you get your hands on a pair of Defy, you can make an online reservation here.
