What we are buying at Zara this week to wear at the beach

I bet many of you are, like myself, still getting ready to go to the beach, right? When thinking about the outfits to pack, inevitably, there’s always something I wish I had bought for my summer vacations but didn’t. So this year, I won’t leave it to the last minute and already selected what I’m taking with me!

To spare you a lot of time and stress of having to go through all the endless items available online to look for that perfect summer dress or cute straw hat, I will share with you what I’m buying at Zara this week to go to the beach.

When choosing my new clothes, I paid particular attention to the materials, avoiding all that’s synthetic. Cotton and linen are my choices because the natural fabrics are breathable for summer. The loose cut of the clothing also helps to feel fresher since there’s space for the air to circulate, and let’s face it; nobody can look chic while puffing and sweating buckets! So, here are my picks:

Loose linen shirt

A white linen shirt is a staple every summer wardrobe needs. This off-white oversized linen blouse will look good with shorts, pants or over your bikini, and you can dress it up with a statement necklace to go out for drinks

Linen blouse with buttons

Another comfortable shirt to wear as above, or you can unbutton this linen blouse and layer it over a little dress in the evening instead of a sweater. The bohemian vibe of this shirt will give an effortless chicness to your beach look.

Bucket hat

This cotton and linen bucket hat is the perfect accessory that will make any outfit look modern and cool. Wear it instead of the obvious straw hat and get extra fashion points!

These white Bermudas scream beach time! They are short enough to be fresh and long enough to look elegant. Pair them with a short-sleeve shirt tied on the waist, cat sunglasses and sandals for a casual but chic outfit.

The statement earrings will glam up your beachwear and evening looks. Gold looks wonderful on sun-kissed skin and the shells, (fake) coral and pearls will make you feel like a siren ready to lure the poor sailors into the sea 🙂

The extra-large towelled shopper is so cool I want to carry it not only to the beach but also to the office, and it’s big enough for all you may need for a day on the beach or yacht, and much more. Plus, you can hide behind your stylish shopper when you see that boring cousin coming your way!

Straw sandals

The flat sandals in black and beige jute have an Out of Africa vibe, and the gold details make the slippers dressier, a perfect combination of natural materials with the chic gold metal trimming that you can wear everywhere.

Black dress

The cute tiered dress with thin straps is flirty and fresh, and don’t ask me why, but I just can’t resist a dress with hidden pockets! And if you think black is not the right colour for summer, you surely missed our article about it!

Navy slip dress

I love this ruffled slip dress with narrow straps that tie on the back, it is sexy but not overly, and you can wear it over your swimsuit with flat sandals or sneakers, or to go out at night, dressed up with beautiful beach jewellery.

Flower earrings

Although big in size, these bold earrings look light thanks to the transparency of the acrylic flowers. The colour is quite neutral so that you can pair them with anything and they look fab whether at the beach or the disco. By the way, they are so light you can dance the night away without coming back home with red and aching earlobes!

Linen shirtdress

A beige linen shirt dress is a staple everyone should have; it is a classic. The simplicity of the lines and the elegance of the fabric make it a super versatile and chic item in your summer wardrobe.

Now that you’re set; enjoy the beach!
