Gentleman, it’s time to ditch your woollen suits and coats and get ready for light coloured linen jackets, shorts and sock-free shoes. During summer, the smartest way to keep fresh when going to work is by wearing natural, breathable fabrics like linen and cotton. Summer office outfits can go from chic linen suits with ties, for more formal professions, to relaxed jackets, T-shirt and sneakers or sandals, for informal and creative offices.
It’s going to be terribly hot soon, so avoid like the plague synthetic fabrics and anything tight that will make you very uncomfortable in the heat, and in general, wear light colours and pastels this season. If you work in an informal office, which we hope you do, so that you don’t need to walk around in a suit with a tie during summer, we prepared some great looks for you:
Sand and other hues of beige are by far, the kings of summer. Sandals are no longer exclusively women shoes; you can pair a beige linen suit with a T-shirt and brown leather sandals or slides for a contemporary look, your toes will thank you!
Pastel blue is also a very wearable hue and a big favourite among stylish men. Wear this light blue jacket with matching cool shades, cream trousers and sneakers to go to work in style.
From what we saw on the catwalk shows, sage is this summer’s colour. This foliage green looks wonderful with powder pink and burgundy. Wear your sage outfit with the environment-friendly Veja kickers and classic Ray-Ban aviators.
And why not wear shorts to the office? Choose longer models and wear them with a white shirt or a retro-looking camp shirt and suede tasselled loafers that will balance your look and make it less informal.

And don’t forget to wear SPF!
