Meghan Markle was spotted carrying the cutest bag when visiting Birkenhead, and of course, within minutes everybody was trying to find out where to get the beautiful brown handbag; it is the Nina Bag by Daniela Hearst.

It was the first joint royal engagement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex carried out this year and the mother-to-be looked beautiful in a purple dress under her red coat, she completed her colour-block look with red pumps and the structured brown bag that became an instant hit.

The New York-based Uruguayan Gabriela Hearst grew up in a cattle farm, which she runs nowadays, in parallel with her namesake luxury ready-to-wear and accessories brand.

The Gabriela Hearst label is known as the American competitor of Hermès, because of the high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Hearst uses wool from her sheep farm in Uruguay, and high-tech and innovative materials such as fabrics that protect against the radiation of cell phones or aloe-treated linen that moisturizes the skin while you wear the garment.

The first handbag she designed for her label was the Nina bag, named after Nina Simone. The Nina bag was produced in a limited edition of 20 at first. Meghan’s bag has now a long waiting list.

In January this year, the giant LVMH Luxury Ventures invested in the fashion label that can now expand, lucky for us who will be able to shop the beautiful pieces around the world! If you want to purchase Meghan's bag, here is a little insider secret for you: instead of waiting on the waiting list for who knows how long for your Nina bag, you can get it now - and even cheaper than in Hearst's online shop - through Vestiaire Collective :)
