You will fall in love with leggings in 2020, once you learn how to wear them. Although labelled as tacky until very recently, the super tight pants will become a must in every fashionista’s wardrobe this year. The controversial piece that you wouldn’t be seen dead in unless inside a gym club will soon be your go-to pants. Because, besides being super comfortable, leggings can be surprisingly stylish too.
Leggings started their comeback after Chanel’s Cruise Collection 2020 when Virginie Viard presented them paired with classic tweed jackets. Soon the model with Chanel’s logo was everywhere on Instagram, from Celine Dion to Leandra M. Cohen, every fashion enthusiast seemed to be wearing it.

Believe me; nothing will be as practical and versatile as black leggings. Wear them like Olivia Palermo, combined with leopard jacket and Oxford shoes for an über-elegant look with a twist. But you can also pair your black leggings with a blazer to go to the office, or with a comfy pullover to go out with friends.

Wear leggings in 2020 with oversized white shirts that are chic and as versatile as your new pants. This combo is so easy to put together and so comfortable and stylish; you won’t want to wear anything else. Read The white shirt guide for Spring 2020 for extra fashion inspiration.

Get ready for spring in floral leggings. Pair them with a mint blazer and leopard pumps if you dare, like the stylish show-goer during NYFW. You can tone down the look, if you prefer, by wearing the floral pants with a black oversized pullover and sneakers.

Black and white is a winning combination, elegant and timeless. But this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have fun. This is to say, do as Jaime Xie does. Pair different prints like gingham, stripes and leopard, all in black and white, to achieve an elegant yet modern look.

Alright, I admit, I can’t get enough of animal prints! As a fact, I consider them neutrals, that one can combine with basically anything. For example, Emilii Sindlev pairs brown leopard leggings with an XXL jacket, B&W ankle boots and pink handbag. And the result is fresh and contemporary.

Since we’ll be wearing a lot of shorts this year, why not make it super comfy with cropped leggings? This shorter version ends just above or under your knees. It makes an excellent office outfit when paired with an oversized blazer. Add some femininity like Leoni Hanne did, with heeled mules.
