Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child arrived this morning at 5:25 a.m.
The baby, who is the Queen’s 8th great-grandchild, is seventh in line to the British throne.
The proud great-grandmother announced the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby through a ceremonial easel displayed in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace in London where it reads: “The Queen and the Royal Family are delighted at the news that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526am today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
The location where the baby was born is being kept private and we still don’t know the newborn’s name. The Duke of Sussex, who was by his wife’s side when she went into labour, said, beaming with joy, that the baby was “absolutely to die for” and that they were still deciding on the name.
