A Casa Particular in Paris

In the middle of the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the charming Cuban hotel Eminente will surprise you. The establishment with a typical ochre facade blends with the jungle that takes you to the green valley of Viñales. The Casa Particular, or private hotel, offers a 24-hour immersion on the Cuban island “Isla del Crocodilo”. It is on this island in the shape of a crocodile that Eminente produces its rum.

As soon as you enter the hotel, your senses are invigorated. That is to say, smells of a Cuban market, the scent of sugarcane and notes of rum set the mood. As a result, every detail is a unique sensorial and cultural experience that transports you deeper into the heart of Cuba. The bar, for example, has faded ceilings. And they converted the hotel’s restaurant into a “paladar”, a typical eatery where you can enjoy Cuban specialities.

Hotel Eminente is an opportunity to give people an experience far from the typical Cuban stereotypes and honour these great wild and green spaces with incredible biodiversity.

What to expect from the Hotel Eminente

The 4-star hotel Monte Cristo is hosting the immersive concept of the Hotel Eminente in Paris. They transformed the facade into a wilderness decor inspired by the Valley of Viñales. Additionally, the interior designer Pauline d’Hoop gave a completely new look to the interior spaces.

This temporary flagship address is dedicated to the five senses. It embodies a return to the roots of Eminente, a Cuban tasting rum. With this small hotel lost in the middle of the jungle, we wanted to bring a wild Cuba into the heart of Paris.

Annabelle Cantarero will run the restaurant. She worked in several hotels in Paris before moving to Cuba to develop a sustainable farm in the West of Havana with her husband. She will prepare traditional Cuban cuisine with a contemporary touch at the restaurant of the Hotel Eminente in Paris.

Eminent rum and glass.

And, last but not least, you’ll be able to enjoy the authentic taste of Cuba in a glass. That is because the barman’s created five special rum cocktails for this hotel bar with a typical Cuban atmosphere. And don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone if, after a couple of Daiquiris, you swear you saw Ernest Hemingway sitting next to you.
