Best gifts for men who have everything

Struggling with Christmas presents for your husband? This is when shopping gets really tough, I know. We've already talked about gift ideas for young men and women in the articles Special Christmas list - My daughter and Special Christmas list - My son. Now, how about finding the perfect gift for the special man in your life, who probably already has everything?

To make the Christmas gift list for my husband, I try to remember all our conversations about our lives and plans for next year. What will my husband need at the office or during winter, and why not, summer vacations? Do we have any trips planned? Are there some wardrobe staples that need to be replaced? Maybe something that will remind him of his younger days? Because I like to buy less but buy better, I chose items that I know for sure he will use for a long time.

Money clip

Money clips are convenient for when you don't want to carry a bulky wallet in your pocket. Since my hubby lost the clip he loved, these sterling silver ones are on the top of my list.

Although he knows how to take care of his shoes, making them last very long, after twenty years it is finally time to replace my darling's Gucci loafers. I know he also needs new velvet slippers to wear at home. For relaxed weekends and our daily walks, I'm sure he will be delighted with Adidas Samba, the very same sneakers he used to wear when he was a teenager!

Men don't have many options when it comes to jewellery. Cufflinks are one of the few accessories my husband will wear. Unfortunately, we were robbed in South America some time ago and apparently, the robbers had an excellent taste; among the many things they took, were the cufflinks he had collected over the years. I selected classic cufflinks that look good not only at a business meeting but also at parties, and since men usually wear black-tie to our Christmas Eve dinner, he can already put on his gift as soon as he opens it.

On our last vacations in Portugal, we discovered the after-shave balm Musgo Real by Claus Porto, which my husband loved. It protects and leaves the skin smooth, and has a delicious woody scent with notes of sandalwood, Ylang-ylang and vetiver. Acqua di Parma's Ambra is a classic and elegant perfume with notes of Ambergris, bergamot, rose, patchouli and sandalwood.

Gloves and hats

Gloves are winter staples we have to buy every year since my better half loses them faster than I can say Merry Christmas! These Italian leather gloves with a pure cashmere lining look like stylish driving gloves and are very warm and cosy. A beautiful Borsalino hat has a classic 1960s silhouette that brings instant chicness and coolness to its wearer. It is a perfect present to keep my husband warm in style all winter.

Happy shopping!
