The 4 hottest footwear trends to show off your pedicure
After long months with our feet in boots and closed shoes which socks, we can wait to start wearing those cute sandals and slingbacks we’re seeing on the street style photos from the last fashion weeks and in the shops. You will look contemporary and chic day and night, with the four hottest footwear trends for this summer that we’ve pinpointed:
Chunky black sandals
The chunky sandals and sliders are one of the hottest trends for this summer. Chanel, Prada and The Row are some of the many fashion labels with the summer shoes Alexa Chung and several of our favourite Scandinavian influencers. Doc Martens black sandals with chunky soles and visible stitching are as cool as the British label's boots, and give an edge to your spring beige outfit. They can be paired with dresses, jeans, shorts, paint suits, everything you feel comfortable with.
This summer, wear heeled sandals with super thin, barely-there straps like the ones by The Row and Prada. They look wonderful with dresses and skirts but are also great with pants. They add chicness and sexiness to your jeans, and of course help to elongate your legs.
The most feminine of shoes, slingbacks come with square toes this season, giving them a more contemporary look. They are a trend since a while already but will be relevant to this Spring/Summer season. Slingback can be paired with basic everything, included sheers socks to give them an edgy touch.
Mules are a great footwear option for spring but please, pretty please, make sure you don't have cracked heels! For spring and summer, wear mules in cute pastel or neon colours that will uplift any outfit like these gorgeous Balenciaga pink mules. I must say that I am totally fond of pointy shoes this season.
