Favourite holiday reading material
The summer months are the time when we tend to put out all the books that we haven´t had the time to read during the rest of the year. In the sunny season the days are longer, we are going on vacation and reading just seems to be the perfect activity when lying at the beach or sitting at the balcony with a glass of wine. Also, completely shutting down and getting lost in a story sounds immensely soothing, doesn´t it?
So, if you think having sand between your toes or hearing the birds sing in your backyard already constitutes the ultimate summer feeling, let us tell you: it just gets better by grabbing a good book and getting inspired by it. So, here are our favourite summer reads.
1. WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LULULEMONS BY LAUREN WEISBERGER
The author of the “The Devil Wears Prada” continues the story of Miranda Priestley´s former assistant Emily who is now trying to manage life after having left Runway. If you liked the story of the thrusting Fashionista, you will for sure love this book as well!
2. MEGHAN: A HOLLYWOOD PRINCES BY ANDREW MORTON
If you are still in a Meghan Markle fever (like we are), this Biography is a Must read this summer! Royal biographer Andrew Morton, who also wrote the biography of Diana and other royal figures took a chance on Meghan´s story. So, get some roasted chicken and red wine ready (if you don´t get the reference, you will as soon as you read the book) and start reading!

3. EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE BY DOLLY ALDERTON
Who doesn´t like a light read in summer? A funny and romantic story is probably the best read for the hotter months. In “Everything I know about love” Dolly Alderton documents her experiences in life and love and will definitely make you laugh (a lot)!

4. The POCKET ATLAS OF REMOTE ISLANDS BY JUDITH SCHALANSKY
If you can´t go on vacation this year, don´t be sad. The Pocket Atlas of Remote Islands by Judith Schalansky mentally takes you to 50 Islands you have probably never visited and never will as the subtitle states. It is a nice mental getaway and proves that the greatest adventures sometimes take place in your mind.

5. TANGERINE BY CHRISTINE MAGAN
We love a good thriller in summer, don´t we? Two hostile friends, an internal conflict and someone who goes missing – the perfect material for a gripping story that takes place in Morocco and that will want you to read it in a single blow.

6. THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A FUCK BY MARK MANSON
We all know what Mark Manson is talking about: we think too much, we care too much, we just generally give too many f**ks. The subtle Art of not giving a fuck is no ordinary self help book though. It is a funny and honest approach to finding solutions for problems and also to embracing the bad times.
