Orange is the new black
There’s been a lot of talk about the two stars of Tarantino’s latest movie, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, but what about the fabulous orange-ochre look of their co-star, Margot Robbie, at the movie’s premiere in London? The actress who plays Sharon Tate in the blockbuster, looked absolutely beautiful in the deep-orange Oscar de la Renta gown and matching makeup.
The Australian beauty looked like a Greek goddess in the floor-long pleated dress with plunging neckline and flowing scarf. And the makeup artist Pati Dubroff really nailed the look with the orange eyeshadow she chose.
I was especially pleased to see her plummy makeup. My favourite makeup colour of all times was the copper lipstick and eyeshadow I used to wear in the late ’80s - don't do the math, thank you very much! - which I reluctantly gave up a few years ago. Well, I can’t thank Margot enough for bringing back my favourite shade!
The earthy makeup the actress wore gave her a natural and warm look, even with the statement eyes and lips. The orange eyeshadow was diffused up to Robbie’s brows and paired with a plummy eyeliner and a bit of mauve around the edges of the eyes. She finished the look with matching lipstick. The London premiere was not the first time the actress has worn orange makeup. Maybe inspired by Sharon Tate's look, Margot Robbie has donned the warm-coloured eyeshadow during all the press tour of the movie.
So, forget the black, the earthy orange hues of Robbie’s look are just perfect for autumn! I don’t know about you, but I am surely copying her makeup for my next parties. As a matter of fact, I love it so much that I’m sure I will wear it day and night!
