For a little bit of '90s Sex and the city nostalgia

Seen in nearly every episode of the cult series “Sex and the city”, it seemed like the slingbacks went well with just every item of Carrie Bradshaw´s wardrobe. So, what the fashion icon of every little fashionista already knew back then in the late-´90s and early 2000s, should become a real thing at least now!

It´s time to stock up on at least one of this practical but very feminine all-rounder characterized by a half stiletto or block heel with a behind-the-ankle strap. They are called court shoes, slingbacks as written above or as already often mentioned in a lot of articles before, the kitten heels.

This is, as you must know, not actually a new upcoming trend for only this season, it´s more one that has been nearly overseen or maybe also just ignored by many of us the last past years.
It is such a great masterpiece. Kitten heels´ comeback has already often been celebrated in the fashion scene since 2015 when Karl Lagerfeld featured the toe capped mid heeled slingbacks by completing all of the 98 runway looks at Chanels´ fall ready to wear show with the exact same model we are talking about right now again!

The original black and beige variety was designed to lengthen the leg and make feet appear smaller and daintier. Which of course was the idea of the well-known Coco Chanel herself.

What´s new this spring is that the brave, who might have already stepped into the slingback-spectacle some periods ago, might pair it now with their favorite socks. In these freaky days, this totally is the most comfortable way to easy go, more than some of you might have actually thought of, an elegant no-go.

Should these not-so-granny-anymore shoes still leave you a little bit skeptical, simply take a look at the trendy blogger-pics we spotted on Instagram.
