Hedi Slimane reveals a new Celine Logo

This morning, three identical videos popped up on our Instagram feed telling us that Céline, pardon Celine has undergone some sort of rebranding. 
Hedi Slimane, the new creative director at the fashion house is known for changing things up. By deleting all the posts from the brand´s account he made room for something new.

As it is stated in the posting, “the accent on the “e” has been removed to enable a simplified and more balanced proportion”. The new design is inspired by the original design from the 60´s, where the accent hasn´t been used often.”

The new logo and everything that comes with it, is giving us flashbacks to what Slimane did to (Yves) Saint Laurent back in 2012 and what engendered criticism as well as praise. 
Slimane´s first menswear and womenswear collection for Celine will debut at Paris Fashion Week this month and we are very curious (or maybe scared) about what is to come.
