Puffy and wrinkly eyes are a thing of the past

Our eye area is very sensitive and wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles or under-eye bags are something we all have to deal with at some point. Lack of sleep, the wrong food or merely getting older are among the reasons for these kinds of problems. To reduce or even prevent them, we like to get some help in the beauty department in the form of eye creams. You can now think of them as just another classic placebo product that won´t do anything for a better look, but we are convinced that they at least help a little when it comes to the sensitive skin under your eyes. When you choose or use eye creams, there are some things you should keep in mind though. So, get a pen and paper and learn how to be a successful wrinkle-puffiness-dark circle-fighter!

As already mentioned there are lots of different issues when it comes to the area around our eyes. Finding the right eye cream for one (or multiple) of those problems therefore is essential. If you have dark circles under your eyes, make sure to get an eye cream that contains vitamin C. It brightens and illuminates your under-eyes and makes you look fresh even on a Monday morning. If crow´s feet are your targeted problem, get yourself an eye cream with hyaluronic acid or wrinkle-reducing peptides. They boost the collagen production and make wrinkles appear smaller. Or do you wake up with puffy eyes from time to time? Then get your hands on some caffeine-infused cream. This will instantly wake you up in the morning and make you look energetic and well rested.

If you are incorporating eye cream into your daily routine, make sure to use it correctly. Eye cream should always be the last step in your skincare routine and applied in the morning as well as in the evening. Cleanse and moisturise your face first and then apply the eye cream of your choice.

Tapping or massaging? Dabbing or spreading? Well, applying any kind of skincare product can be tricky and we probably all do it differently. Truth is, there is not a single correct way of doing it, just some general things you should consider. First of all: be gentle. The skin under your eyes is way thinner and more sensitive than on the rest of your face. So, avoid rubbing or pulling too hard on your skin. Also, if you use your eye cream in the morning, wait a minute before you apply make-up and let it sink in first. You as well don´t want to use too much of your eye cream. Putting on more, doesn´t give you better results, remember that!

SPECIAL TIP: For an extra cooling effect, store your eye cream in the fridge. Putting on some cold cream feels super relaxing and makes you start or end your day in a (literally) cool mood. So get your hands on an eye cream and brighten up your look!
