Fall will be officially here in a couple of days, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful autumn leaves colour in gold city parks and the countryside. And as we’ve already said here, one of the biggest trends for Fall 2021 is the country-style look. But not any countryside style, this time we are talking Royal countryside. Many shows from Fashion Week A/W 21-22 seem inspired by the Queen’s Balmoral outfits.
The Queen’s love of horses and country life are well known, and now we also should be inspired by her timeless sartorial choices. And I am talking about her quilted vests, Hermés style silk scarves, tartan pleated skirts, tweed blazers and trench coats. Not difficult to follow this country-style trend since the pandemic has highlighted my longing for a simpler life closer to nature, especially if this simple life were at Balmoral Castle!
Country looks at Fashion Week A/W 2021
Fashion designers presented chic country looks the Queen would approve for fall 2021. The models at Max Mara A/W 21-22 would certainly pass the Balmoral Test with their quilted vests, plaid skirts and scarves tied around their heads in the Queen’s style. By the way, Max Mara’s skirts come with wide fringes or pleats that are a must-have silhouette for fall.
The country style trend from the runways to the streets
Model Bella Hadid was spotted in London wearing a navy blue quilted jacket paired with a silk scarf, proving that in fall 2021, you can rock the chic English country look in the city too. Bella Hadid styled the conservative look with sneakers and a fabulous leopard bag to remind us to keep the royal trend as it should be, with a sense of humour.
