There is one dress from Copenhagen Spring/Summer 2020 that is making waves since last winter when fashion week hit the Scandinavian capital. The beautiful dress from Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen has been popping up on our Instagram feeds, for months. The Danish influencers are wearing the doll-like dress since last season. Which means, fast fashion companies had enough time to copy the beautiful Cecilie Bahnsen design.

The Scandinavian stylist and trendsetter Pernille Teisbaek is one of the fashion-savvy girls that we’ve spotted wearing this white dress by Cecilie Bahnsen.

The sleeveless white dress with embroidered white spots and tiered skirt is fresh and romantic. When you turn around, the unexpected details are what makes the whole difference. The dress is surprisingly backless, and it is tied on the back with two strings that create pleats and a bit of volume, giving this romantic design a modern edge.

Although very summery, you can also wear this beautiful dress layered over a blouse and pair it with boots for a contemporary and super cool autumn look. Cecilie Bahnsen created a perfect all-year-round design.

The Copenhagen-native designer presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week her S/S20 collection with a focus on the backs. All looks have interesting volumes and details on the back as cut-outs and big bows. Cecilie Bahnsen combines French Couture savoir-faire and Scandinavian minimalist and timeless style in her namesake label.

Bahnsen’s dresses with architectural volumes are at the same time, feminine and modern, and this is why we like them so much. Even if this model is being copied all over, an original Cecilie Bahnsen design is recognised miles of distance. If you can afford, go for the real thing.
