We’re all too familiar with the many benefits of consuming probiotics. These natural “good bacterias” are vital for a healthy gut and a good digestion.
Many skin care product companies have already added probiotics into their formulas to boost radiance and elasticity of the skin but researchers affirm now that, more than using probiotics in beauty products, we should be ingesting them to fight skin ageing!
What exactly are probiotics?
Although Probiotics are bacterias, which we usually think of as something harmful, these are “good bacterias”, microorganisms and yeast that live in our gut and are extremely important to our general wellness, aiding digestion and boosting our immune system.

What are the benefits of consuming probiotics?
As we all know, they help our digestion. Probiotics such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria prevent irritable bowel syndrome and constipation, help protect against food poisoning, lactose intolerance, some viruses and infections, and chronic fatigue disorder. They help our organs to detox and, last but not least, improve the appearance of our skin!
How do probiotics improve the appearance of the skin?
When you don’t have a healthy gut flora, the “bad bacterias” can strive and cause several problems such as for instance, chronic inflammations that lead to skin problems like acne, eczema or psoriasis.

You find probiotics in any food with fermentation microbes such as the yoghurts that contain live, active cultures, miso, sauerkraut, Kefir or you can take a probiotic supplement that you find in any drugstores.
By the way, the name Probiotic comes from the Greek “pro”, as in promoting, and “biotic” that means life, need I say more?
