Taking online shopping to the next level

Amazon Fashion is revolutionising e-commerce. The giant online retailer has just launched a new service called Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe, that will make online shopping much more comfortable and personal.

This new service connects you to fashion stylists, who will help you find what you’re are looking for exactly. The stylists will save you a lot of time since you won't need to go through all items on Amazon.

What is the Personal Shopper?

It is a service available for Prime members for 4,99 dollars a month. Stylists give style recommendations based on your personal needs and preferences. The fashion stylists handpick items among all the available brands based not only on your profile but also on current trends. When requested, they can also select garments for specific occasions such as a job interview or a party.

How does it work?

You fill out your Style Profile with your information, answer questions about your personal preferences, your body measurements and type, style, brands and budget. You can update at any moment your specific needs. The more information you give, the better the service can cater for you. For example; what kind of print do you like; florals, dots, stripes, animal prints? Do you prefer to wear short sleeves or sleeveless clothes? The data is analysed by stylists who will select among the thousands of brands, clothes, shoes and accessories that fit your needs. You can then preview the selection specially made for you once a month, and choose items that you’ like to try on. Amazon will send you your picks with no up-front cost, and you can try them in the comfort of your home. You have seven days to decide whether you want to purchase them or not. It is effortless and free of charge to return the items you do not wish in Amazon’s reusable packaging. And you only pay for what you decide to keep.

Besides Personal Shopper, Amazon has also launched StyleSnap. The fantastic app allows customers to take a picture of any item they see on their screen, in a shop or on the streets, and click to find and buy it on Amazon. Now, how cool is that?

We will also see a digital television channel with a designer competition similar to Project Runway and a project called The Drop, with collabs of fashion influencers designing exclusive collections for Amazon.

In other words, Amazon, who is known for everyday-items shopping with affordability and convenience, is taking online fashion shopping to the next!
