Karl Lagerfeld is omnipresent in Vienna; the Kaiser, as he’s known in the German language markets, was all over the magazines because he let a beard grow on his face.
But apart from this questionable style statement, in December 2017 his eponymous brand opened its first shop in the Opera capital.
You can watch the video who was there, who wore what and how cool the shop is.
Karl’s face (although without beard) and his beloved and Instagram famous cat, Choupette. are waiting for the clients, sprinkled on bags, necklaces, gloves, sweaters, caps, you name it.
I must admit it, they are fun, young and are totally aligned with the comic book craze trend that we’ve been seeing in so many luxury brands. Just a couple of examples, Moschino put My Little Pony on backpacks and wallets; Prada opted for full vintage comic print coats.
What I like about the Karl Lagerfeld collection is that you can experiment with the comic trend just with key pieces, like sneakers and bags, that will update your look without a big investment.
Karl Lagerfeld is 84 years old and still gets to be in the center of everything new and fresh, practicing a profession that basically targets young people. How can't we love him?
So let’s hang out this Spring-Summer with Karl Lagerfeld and the adored and adorable Choupette.
The shoes and bags are available in Salamander's shop. Click on the Gallery to see more.
