Flirty dresses with feminine silhouettes and floral patterns: That's how Johanna Orlitz' designs would probably be described best. The Colombian designer is drawn to exotic motifs, inspired by her home country, and adapts them to fashion. Like every year, she also brought that South American flair to Paris Fashion Week this time, when she presented her Spring/Summer 2018 collection at the Colombian ambassador’s private residence. The dresses, kimonos and shirt dresses come with brushstroke polka dots, stripes or beautiful flower or jungle prints. Characteristic is also the ruffles, that appear big on asymmetric shoulders and skirt hems. The tropical designs of the collection were inspired by Paul Gauguin, the French Impressionist, who captured Polynesian women in jungle surroundings.
Look at some pieces from the new collection in our gallery and until it's shop-able, consider one of the garments from the current collection! Our favorite? The one-piece teddy ;)
