Cool story….two sisters from Florida, Danielle and Jodie Snyder nerded out when they were younger…..they spent WAY too many hours designing and making jewelry. Their designs were so cool that people soon took notice. From there, they moved to New York…Danielle created a capsule collection to help fundraise in Africa. It was a huge success and VOILA….Dannijo was born. Their site has it all, phone cases, rings, jeweled collars, bags and all of it is AMAZING!

Hotel Wiesler – Graz

I remember the first time I went to Graz, I was quite frankly surprised at just how hip it was. It seemed like there were cooler boutiques and cafes in Graz then there were in Vienna. If you’ve never made it to Graz, you really SHOULD…and…you should stay at the Hotel Wiesler!

New owner, Florian Weltzer has completely transformed this hotel. Each room is filled with old and new…an old traveling chest turned into a bar, a vintage guitar or even a record player! I especially love the touch of the old barber’s chairs!

If I had to pick out my favorite part… it’s the Polaroid camera at the guest station…what a COOL idea!

Everything is hand made with the best leather from the Pampas. Love it!

Braøseweddå

Funny…I live in Austria and yet I came across this cool Austrian label on an American website. Braosewedda just released a new collection called Drumroll and it’s based on the theme: Circus of LOVE. (which of course means…men in rabbit masks)

Tanja Halbmayr and Veronika Gaitzenauer are the designing duo behind the label and they have quite a sweet motto:

It’s all about the little things in life. Dancing in the rain, eating candy or wearing delightful fashion. That’s braøseweddå.

I would love to know what Braøseweddå means. If any of you out there know, let me know! (bitte). They have a nice blog to support their label as well, with some interesting free verse.

Marni Fall Foulard collection 2012

I know….it’s spring…and it’s REALLY hard to even consider fall but this collection is oh so cool! Actually just about anything Marni puts out is amazing but this time they got a little bit of help from illustrator Brian Rea who created some whimsical illustrations. Something to look forward to!

Brian Rea: “I think of Marni as sometimes sweet, sometimes fierce, which is a nice place for all of these stories and emotions to become wearable.” When asked what it will feel like to glimpse a passer-by wearing his work (this is Rea’s first fashion partnership), he says: “I’ll smile. Last week, Christian Kemmler from the advertising agency Schön & Gut received the press to present the new collection Fall / Winter 2012 Levi’s. We are sharing with you the images that they gave to us.
It is incredible how Levi’s hold true to the its origin. 84 years later, it remains the jeans for the workers. But now translated into craftsmen, creative workers, tech-minded, which values design that offers aesthetic and functionality.
The inspiration comes from the beach community of San Francisco: the future Internet- billionaires, Instagram-boys-and-girls who meet their investors in jeans and flipflop. Silicon Valley rules!

I happened to come across a photo of Molly-Hanna Carey wearing one of her signature necklaces for J.Crew and instantly found myself Googling her to see more. What’s so interesting about jewelry these days is the ecclectic vintage quality…incorporating older pieces in a new fresh way. Her designs are hand sewn and one of a kind…SO beautiful!

Fendi Bags Celebrate 15 Years With Re- Edition

The original “it” bag—the Fendi Baguette, made famous in part by Carrie’s favoritism towards it on Sex and the City—is turning 15 this year. To celebrate, Fendi is re-releasing limited editions of six of the bag’s most famous styles (there have been over 1,000 different versions—in materials like fur, sequins, and crocodile skin—made since it was first introduced) in it’s boutiques. The bags retail from $1,000 up to $3,000-plus!

Anthropologie – Made in Kind

Anthropologie in collaboration with some really great designers debuted it’s Made in Kind collection in April. Each week a new capsule collection is released. April started off with Karen Walker, Place Nationale, and John Patrick for O for Organic. This month stars Charlotte Taylor, Tracy Reese, and Byron Lars. Other designers include, Rachel Rose, Gregory Parkinson, Samantha Pleet, Charlotte Linton, Pipit. It’s such a great idea…..who wouldn’t want a piece from each of these designers?

Currently I’m in LOVE with Preen. It seems that every other item that I pin to my Pinterest account is made by this hip London design house.
