Tired of your power suits? Want an office outfit with an edge, that makes you look both fun and professional? We have the solution for you, and it has a name: Thom Browne. The American designer made women’s suits fun again, combining the conservatism of the tailored suits with the eccentricity of the details such as duck embroideries, and a mix of patterns and colours.

The playful suits with patchworks of striped or plaid fabrics are fun and sophisticated at the same time and can be worn by women of all ages, not only to go to the office but also to go out for lunch, to visit an art exhibition or go to a cocktail party.
The signature look of Browne is the three-piece suit that he creates with sartorial precision and subversive imagination. The designer’s looks have masculine tailoring and masculine fabrics. But the suits and masculine shirts worn with ties are somehow, very feminine, whether they are pant-suits or tailored jackets worn with skirts or shorts, and paired with fun handbags in the shape of dogs, ducks or crabs.

At his Spring/Summer 19 catwalk show during Paris Fashion Week, several of his guests were wearing the label’s trademark suits, including Maisie Williams, AKA the fierce Arya Stark of "Game of Thrones", looking fantastic in a checked suit with ducks embroidered all over it, and a pink tie that matched her hair.

Browne began his career in fashion working as a salesman at Giorgio Armani. He then worked with Ralph Lauren at Club Monaco for several years before launching his eponymous men and womenswear label.
