Created by the Arrels foundation, Homelessfonts is a project that is hard to compare. Mixing design and charity work, this initiative aims to collect the handwriting of homeless people living in Barcelona in collections for brands. As you can imagine, the profits will go entirely to those the Arrels foundation is taking care of.

Their page is rather intuitive: already on the homepage, you can spot the first typefaces, up for grabs, and the photo of whomever the handwriting belongs to.

“It is a creative way to raise and transform the popular view of the issue of homeless people,”
said Ferran Busquets, director of the Arrels foundation about the project. Putting online the same typefaces these people use in order to be noticed on the streets of Barcelona, the creators of the Homelessproject send a powerful message to the nation and beyond.
Apart from their website, do not forget to check out their Facebook page and Instagram account, and spread the word. To see the project come to life, check the gallery below.
