So much is done in our beauty rituals every day. So much, in fact, that we end up forgetting what should not be done a little too often. There are so many tiny, even rookie mistakes that are easy to make on a daily basis — when patting your hair dry, for example, or when you are too lazy to take your makeup off before bed after a rough night out.

Not changing your pillow case often enough

I know you already change it, but do so more often. Resting your face after a day outside on the same pillow case night after night easily transforms it in a bacteria-party, no matter how often you wash your face.

Patting your hair dry with a regular towel

No worries, a regular towel is still great for your body. However, an old t-shirt might be better to pat your hair dry after a shower, since that same regular towel makes it frizzy in no time.

Covering your face in tons of makeup…

Unless you’re a super fan of every┬ápossible layer of makeup out there, it’s always better to wear less. Your skin will thank you. Really.

…And not removing it before bed

Never, I repeat, never go to bed with your makeup on. Not even if you’re wayyy too tired to bother. Not even if you come home at 6 AM and it’s technically not night anymore. NEVER!

Brushing your hair when wet

This one might be less known, but combing is always better than brushing when it comes to wet hair. The reason is simple: a hard brush on wet hair just causes a lot of damage, while a comb is gentler and won’t wreck havoc on your head.
