There is a lot of talking about Princess Diana lately. It has something to do with the fact that 2017 is the 20th year since her death, and that her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, have plans to erect a statue in her honor in the gardens of Kensington Palace.
Homages to Princess Diana have been several, but rarely have we seen one such as the MSGM Pre-Fall 2017 collection. Sure, the princess’ fashion sense has inspired many, but it is her off-duty looks that designer Massimo Giorgetti was looking at when creating the collection. “What I find attractive was her unconventional attitude, which was very rulebreaking and modern; it looks relevant even today,” he had said to Vogue. Masculine and feminine notes mix bravely, without losing a certain British flair.
