It has already been twenty years since legendary Princess Diana left us in mysterious circumstances. Throughout the years, the Princess of Wales has been celebrated and remembered in several ways — certainly, her actions and good heart have not been forgotten and likely won’t be anytime soon. Especially now that her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, have commissioned a statue of their late mother.
The sculptor is still being picked, and the project is likely to be completed within the next couple of years. However, the future location of the statue has already been chosen: Kensington Palace.
In the official statement, Princes William and Harry have been quoted as saying:
It has been twenty years since our mother’s death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue.
Our mother rouched so many lives. We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and agency.
