It seems like every week the cosmetic industry offers a different trend for skin care. Many products are great and many are merely hype. Here I share with you what I use and know to work: coconut oil, bee venom cream, and now grapeseed oil, an ingredient only used in the kitchen up until now. Just like coconut oil, grapeseed oil is rich in linoleic acid and antioxidants, perfect for every skin problems, for face, body, and more. Here are all the benefits of adding it to your beauty routine.

1- It lightens dark circles

Grapeseed oil is rich in vitamin E, an ingredient present in almost every eye cream. It is no wonder that it works as a great cream around the eyes, which can diminish the darkest under-eye circles.

2- It promotes hair growth

Grapeseed oil has the ingredients that your hair needs the most: antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamins. Furthermore, it has been proven that it lowers DHT – dihydrotestosterone – one of the great culprits for hair loss in men and women. Therefore, grapeseed oil promotes hair growth.

3- It moisturises

Grapeseed oil has anti-inflammatory properties and high levels of linoleic acid; it moisturizes the skin and treats acne. It doesn‘t clog the pores because it quickly dries without leaving residues. Therefore, it’s recommended for sensitive skin and it’s great to use under makeup.

4- It fades scars

The vitamin E present in grapeseed oil is responsible for lessening the severity of scars. And the linoleic acid is responsible for accelerating the healing process, lowering the chances of getting keloid scars.

5- Sun protection

Applied on skin or consumed, the oil protects you against UV rays, because it has PTO’s – proanthocyanidin- against free radicals. Besides preventing sun damage to the skin, this oil also mitigates spots left by sun exposure or aging.

6- It alleviates spider veins

The many antioxidants found in grapeseed oil reduce inflammation and leakage in veins. If regularly applied to the affected area, it will likely alleviate the appearance of spider veins or varicose veins.

7 – It tightens the skin

The strong antioxidants PTOs found in the grapeseeds are responsible for the increase of collagen production. So, when applied to the skin, the oil can reduce the appearance of fine lines and strechmarks.
