Uhm, what the hell, Zara? 2016 has definitely not been the fashion brand’s year, which seems to have a knack for accumulating lawsuits on lawsuits.
This time, however, it’s even worse than stolen designs. The story begins back in July, when Manhattan-based Cailey Fiesel bought a dress from Zara. It was just months later that she started to notice a weird smell emanating from said dress. Looking for the source, she found something quite unexpected. As told to the New York Post:
“I felt something brushing up against my leg and thought it was a string from the seam of the dress,” she said. “When I went to pull at it, it didn’t feel like a string. I then felt the hem of the dress and it felt like there was some sort of sensor… I turned up the seam of the dress and saw it was not a sensor and that it was a mouse.”
The bad surprise and the “rodent-born disease” earned from it guarantee a lawsuit to be filed against Zara. Because, seriously, wtf?
