Cold advances and we retire to out chambers more often than not. But hey, don’t look so sad. It’s nice and cozy to stay home sometimes, even though summer is but a memory. Here is how to spend the perfect weekend at home.
Take (yourself) out
Although this is a pretty bad pun, what is intended here is that a Friday or Saturday night in your cave should include yourself, spoiling yourself. Cook yourself a nice dinner or order your favorite take-out.
Add food for the brain (or not)
When enjoying your fried rice dish from your favorite Asian place while on your couch, it’s up to you to choose how to be entertained. Will it be a documentary on penguins, or will it be the latest rom-com charmer?
Add herbal tea (or wine)
Or keep one glass of wine for your evening and sip herbal tea in the morning while finally having some time to read. It works wonders for the soul and the mood.
If your me-time has run out of charm and you are ready to talk to other human beings again, why not hosting a little game night or a movie one? If Gilmore Girls re-runs haven’t worn you out in that department, that is.
Indulge in your favorite hobby
Whether it’s drawing your heart out or catching up with your favorite Harry Potter volumes, dedicate yourself and your time to something you really enjoy (and switch off your phone for a few hours).
Yes, even if you have to go grocery shopping. Especially if you have to go grocery shopping.
