Gus Van Sant is a filmmaker. You might know him for masterpieces such as Elephant, Paranoid Park, and of course Good Will Hunting. Like most visionaries, he doesn’t stop at filmmaking. He can also call himself a painter, a musician, and a photographer. And it’s as multi-skilled artist that Gus Van Sant is publishing his visual book, Icons, enclosing all facets of his work.
However, what we are interested in is one particular part of this book, which includes the polaroid the filmmaker has taken in Hollywood between 1983 and 1999. These polaroids show your stars on the rise, from Drew Barrymore to Keanu Reeves, in a candid way we rarely see them in. In the gallery, you’ll find a little preview. Enjoy the view.
