You know when you manage to find those 3 hours in a week to finally go lay down on a beach with your book and/or your besties? You’re not the only one. Let’s make this the relaxing experience it should be, with lots of leaps into the water, summer reads and, why not, end-of-the-day prosecco.

DO: Listen to your favorite music

Nothing can give you a super relax treatment like your favorite tunes. Just remember…

DON’T: Blast your stereo

Earphones are there for a reason. A very good reason.

DO: Bring homemade drinks

Whether to add alcohol or not has to be decided based on how you want the rest of the day to go.

DON’T: Trust beach bars too much

They sometimes will sell you a very expensive Sex on the Beach that tastes like nothing, but at least it normally has that little umbrella thingy on top, which is nice.

DO: Unplug

You officially have the right to forget about your phone, apart from when you need to Instagram the awesome time you are having, of course.

DON’T: Destroy your phone

A few selfies might be fine and safe, but there is always that someone who managed to drop her/his phone in the water or lose it in the sand. Let that not be you.

DO: Protect your skin

Use the right products, and your skin will be very thankful in a few years.

DON’T: End up looking like a shrimp

I am pretty sure burnt skin doesn’t look as good with your new summer dress.
