My dearest beach lovers, we all know about the same old summer habits: going on the beach, falling asleep reading your favorite novel laying pleasantly on the beach towel, or taking a three-hour long swim, all of it without putting on any sunscreen. The result? You, looking like a prawn for a couple of weeks. Not to mention when sunscreen is never even included in your list of things to remember. Ever got sunburnt when out for groceries wearing a tank top? Oh, you will, sooner or later.
But let’s get serious now. How to protect your skin on the beach is an art that needs to be mastered, if not for the not very appealing prawn-look,at the very least in order to keep you healthy. So here come all the tips and tricks.
Don’t neglect shade time
On your to-buy list: one beach umbrella or two. I know, I know. You may want to fry the whole day, but allow your skin some breaks in the shade.
Use sunscreen, like, all the time
As soon as you get to the beach. Right after your swim. An hour later. One last time. Here you go.
Use sunscreen nearby the water, as well
Ever heard of reflection? That burns like hell. If you are going for one of those refreshing walks with half your body in the sea, cover your face and body parts untouched by the water with lots of cream.
Straw hats 4ever
When strolling in the sun, give yourself some personal shade using big straw hats.
