Summer holidays are looming and chances are high you’ve booked a week or two of relaxation, highlife and party in the setting of Capri, Ibiza or Greece. What’s better than fleeing the meltingly hot, dusty city in the apex of hot summer months? Exchanging bihourly anti-sweat shower for the ever-calming pleasure of wading into the blue ocean? Departing the confining surrounding of business skyscrapers and swapping it for light summer breezes and the sound of crickets for your siesta in the arbour?
Right, there is nothing better than that! And while Capri is for the ones seeking society and highlife and Ibiza best satisfies all folks party-inclined, Greece pleases those who wish for something else.
You’ll find a good mix of culture (the beginnings of European high culture were to take place in Greece), the country’s unique white-housed architecture and its beautiful beaches where you can spend your days indulging in bathing, reading and getting a tan. Although this is an undoubtedly relaxing and unpretentious agenda, we’ll still want to look fabulous – just as we always want to. That’s why we’ve been agonizing over the Greek dresscode these past days. And what’s come out seems obvious but is still important to nail down. White, blue and gold are the colors, linen the fabric and sloppy the way of wearing. Check out our ideas in the gallery!
