Talking about utility fashion, it’s not only the strap bags that we bear in mind. As mentioned so often before, it’s the endless athleisure thing, it’s you sporting the bomber jacket at a gala dinner and me wearing Beyonce’s fitness line Ivy Park to the office (or the other way round). And even though it sounds like that, utility fashion is -at least to us- not restricted to garments that actually come from some sort of utile context. To us, it also includes all things comfortable such as oversized sweaters, choosing black over effort when the fashion conscience’s droopy and – you might have guessed it – the bodysuit.

“Ah the bodysuit” you might sigh now. But before judging it off as a piece that only slim, 20-something girly-girls can wear on a boosy night out, let’s give it a second chance. BECAUSE: in times like these (a.k.a. summer) when we more or less all internally suffer from a serious disease called discomfort, which becomes evident with the symptoms of itching, clothestrophobia (and YES, we did just invent this word) and hot flush – is there anything more soothing than the mere thought of slipping into the soft wisp of nothing called BODYSUIT?!

And since there is a solution for every fashion problem, so is for the aforementioned “I’m too old for this kinda stuff” misbelief: worn with a down-to-earth pair of jeans, this season’s most distinct shoe craze and an oversize leather jacket for leafy bowers, the bodysuit not only is an ageless but also very cool, basic allrounder that every fashionable woman should have in her wardrobe. In case you either don’t possess one at all or start rolling your eyes when the sight of your old, worn-out one strucks your retina, it’s definitely time to buy (a new) one. Once again, we’ve browsed the internet to save you time and nerves and compiled a gallery with the very best of bodysuits one can find online!
