The trend of the utility strap bag is so new, it hasn’t even reached most editorial offices yet. Back in a time when beauty knew no pain, all things fashion automatically hurt and accessories bore no use, utility straps were damned to perpetual disrepute – or so it seemed.  Because: whereas it’s been quite some time now that we’ve swapped pencil skirts for Mom jeans, traded confining suits for yet another kind of suit and have declared the pyjama a go-go outside the house, it’s only since the commencement of the current season that something as elementary as the utility strap has risen from “beneath contempt” to “must have”.

Suddenly, the utility strap bag is not our all’ dirty secret anymore, consumed hastily in the obscurity of the familiar in-transit solitude when the bag was too heavy and the fashion conscience droopy. Suddenly it is an uniquitous eye-catcher on the big brands’ runways, a refreshing newcomer in a bulk of “been there, done that” – trends. The blank page it allegorizes, is all the more a reason to love this new craze – because, when else do we ever get to be the very first ones to style a new trend? When else do we find ourselves in the awing situation of having a mission but no role model? For this reason, you should seize the chance and get creative. First, you need to conduct the act of purchase: order one of these indisputably beautiful strap bags in the gallery. Second, either make it the icing of the cake of a well thought-out fashion ensemble or use it to alternate your personal uniform. And lastly, be known as the trendsetter for all eternity.
