We at Notorious don’t think much of overpriced, ultimately good-for-nothing beauty products (I mean, put like that, who does, really?). But this does by no means connote our renunciation from the very same – in order for us to let them on or in our body they just have to be very high in quality and as little processed as possible!

When it comes to criteria, coconut oil meets not only the aforementioned points but exceeds all expectations by combing some constituents that are very important for our health and subsequently, beauty:

  • Saturated fats: when applied on the skin, they keep it smooth by preventing the pores from eliminating moisture. When ingested, in contrast, these fats deposit under the skin, giving it an even tone and reducing the appearance of pores.
  • Capric /Caprylic/ Lauric acid: these have strong disinfectant and antimicrobial properties which can be used to prevent infections and heal wounds. This effect can even be experienced when taken internally as they also boost the immunity from the inside. Also, they contribute to usable energy in a quick and efficient way making them an excellent pre-workout “snack”.
  • Vitamine E: as is known, Vitamine E is beneficial for healthy skin growth, – repair and -smoothness. But above all, it is a substance that prevents premature aging and wrinkling of the skin, since it has good antioxidant properties.

As we clearly want to make use of all these assets, we’ve asked a round a bit to find out about the (apparently many) ways one can use coconut oil – check out the gallery to learn more!
