Homeland of Raf Simons and Martin Margiela among the most well-known, but also quite an interesting place where to spot new and old talents, Belgium should not be left out of our fashion radar.

Bursting with fashion power from the Belgian lands are Brussels and Antwerp. While Brussels might make sense, Antwerp owes its professionality to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts it hosts, which includes a fashion department. The Royal Academy celebrated its 350th birthday in 2013, and it’s considered one of the most ancient art academies in the western world. Head of the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp is Walter Van Beirendonck.

In Brussels, the main fashion hotspot is the La Cambre institute, which every year churns out some interesting talents. Head is Tony Delcampe.

Let’s take a look at 5 Belgian designers worthy of some Notorious love. Check out the gallery to see the list!
