Sally Nixon seems to know what we are all about, and with “we” I mean women, when we are are honest, true selves. Her latest project brought a smile to our faces in all its simplicity, because this is exactly what any woman’s private life is: simple, and somehow, glorious.
Sally Nixon started her project about a year ago, when she decided to dedicate some time to this series every day, and the process ended up being a great inspiration. Her art shows women busy with their everyday moments, away from society’s eyes and, in particular, from any judgement they are normally forced to face. The result is a series of illustrations that look initially odd, and, after a second, extremely familiar.
