Yeah, you heard that right. If you have ever found yourself watching Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette in between sighs of longing, you might be happy to know that, as of today, you are one step closer to a night in your dream palace. Sleeping at Versailles will be soon possible thanks to the upcoming luxury hotel that will be built within its premises.
The guys at the Lov Hotel Collection are going to transform three side buildings at Versailles into a place where pretty much everyone will want to spend a night at. Obviously, there is much controversy around the fact that a historical landmark of such notoriety is going to be partially turned into a moneymaking machine. However, according to Vogue, some extra income is just what France needs in a moment when maintaining landmarks such as Versailles itself has become a little too costly.
The hotel is set to open its doors in 2018, allowing guests to enjoy the 20 luxury rooms which will be made available, as well as the delicacies offered by the kitchen of the Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse in the hotel’s restaurant. Yet another reason to book some tickets to Paris, it seems.
