Yesterday, on the 5th of November, Austrian designer Lena Hoschek celebrated her brand’s 10th birthday. Taking place at the Palazzo Vienna, an impressive circus tent like location, the event’s dresscode said “cocktail/ varieté”. This somehow resulted in the common decision for 50s hairstyles, Lena Hoschek dresses – or similar, a lot of lace, in any way – and Mary Jane shoes for the ladies and suit/ dinner jacket and bow tie for the gents.
In an expecting and excited atmosphere, everyone who considers himself someone in (Austrian) fashion scene was sipping Perrier-Jouët champagne, while chewing on green apple/strawberry/ blue moon (?) and vanilla flavored popcorn. Surrounded by champagne pyramids, balloons and candy floss stands and the indispensable red carpet/ sponsor wall, all the somebodies quickly started enjoying themselves.
Moreover, in the main tent Casino’s Austria had built up a Roulette table, seducing party guests to gamble away their hard earned money – well actually, it was play money and the main prize was a set of golf balls, but anyhow a gambling table is always nice for the looks, you know?
Austrian soul radio station Superfly provided the music (pretty good!) and a rather opulent and sexy showgirl showed more than just her ankles. Also, we were introduced to the lingerie-line Hoschek designed for Palmers which ended in the designer, the models, the presenter and some other pretty eye-catching characters opening the dancefloor – all in all, it was a good party, full of glitter, big cleavages and good atmosphere! Thank you, Lena Hoschek!
